Who We Are

Who is Spontaneous Mind?

Spontaneous Mind is a nonprofit organization that uses applied improvisation to improve communication, collaboration, and performance in individuals, teams, and organizations.

Improv isn’t just about comedy—it’s about how people listen, respond, and work together in real time.

We take the core principles of improv—adaptability, active listening, and shared idea-building—and turn them into practical, repeatable skills that people can use immediately in their personal and professional lives

What We Do

Our programs are designed to help people:

  • Communicate with clarity and confidence

  • Think on their feet in high-stakes situations

  • Collaborate without friction

  • Build trust and stronger relationships

  • Approach challenges with creativity and flexibility

Whether working with corporate teams, educators, or community groups, our focus is the same:

Better communication leads to better outcomes.

Why It Works

Improv creates a safe, experiential environment where participants can practice real-world skills in real time.

The results:

  • Increased confidence

  • Stronger team dynamics

  • More innovative thinking

  • Greater adaptability under pressure

These aren’t abstract concepts—they’re observable, trainable behaviors.
